RIE® PARENT INFANT GUIDANCE™ CLASSES
Observe More. Do Less. Enjoy Most.
RIE® Certified Parent-Infant Guidance™ classes provide parents a supportive community in which to grow in their understanding of the principles of Magda Gerber’s Educaring Approach® and discover ways they may incorporate these principles into their families’ lives.
Discussions within groups often include:
•The importance of play in children’s learning
•Balancing parents’ and children’s needs and wants
•Establishing clear, consistent, and appropriate limits
•Adapting the home environment as baby grows
Our small group size and specifically designed environment allow babies to explore freely and parents the opportunity to witness and delight in the infants’ unfolding development.
Classes are grouped based on developmental stage and remain together until the youngest child turns 2.
Meeting once a week for an hour and a half, tuition ($320) is paid in 8 week sessions.
Infants and young children are not just sitting twiddling their thumbs, waiting for their parents to teach them to read and do math. They are expending a vast amount of time and effort in exploring and understanding their immediate world. Healthy education supports and encourages this spontaneous learning. Dr. David Elkind
